Erica is a bit of a unicorn, a Georgetown Native. After moving around, she knew there was no place better than home!
While in college, Erica began practicing yoga at home like many of us. She found videos that allowed her to continue a consistent practice & eventually made her way into a studio where she gained a love for the calming, grounding element yoga provides. While diving into a career search, Erica made the decision to attend teacher training and share her passion of yoga.
Erica's background in bookkeeping might be a strong indicator of her favorite type of postures... hip openers! Sometime sitting at a desk can feel more challenging than working numbers, but she loves the mental stimulation of accounting.
Her background in competitive cheer has a heavy influence in her classroom; not only does she cheer on her students, but she loves to bring new challenges into her practice and the practice of others. She loves to see students overcome fear and explore new depths.
If you ask Erica to define "warrior," it's learning to love yourself the way you are, never quitting on yourself, and to celebrate the small successes every chance you can. One of her favorite inspirational quotes, “You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” – Martin Luther King
