Cony Cameron
Teacher Development Manager, 200 RYT

Born and raised in Santiago, Chile, Cony moved to Texas in 2009. Moving to Austin was a difficult transition. Soon after, she started to look for ways to reconnect with herself. That is when she found yoga and went to her first local class. She was used to competitive sports , like volleyball, so yoga was a very different way to move. She changed the internal dialogue, that once was used to criticize her performance, into words of acceptance and understanding.   

Yoga helped Cony to connect with her new surroundings and she soon felt the need to expand her knowledge on yoga. Joining a 200hr intensive training at Wanderlust in 2014.  Now Cony is a full time yoga teacher, but when she is not at the studio you can find her painting or spending time with her two children and her husband.

The path of yoga for Cony has really encourage her to feel like a warrior, to find the strength from within to be able to accomplish her goals, to calm the mind or even to take a deep breath.  She now seeks to improve and learn as much as possible and most importantly, encourage acceptance among her students.  We all have that yoga pose that we need to put in the extra work (for Cony is back bends!), or maybe we have a part in ourselves that needs extra attention, either way she wants to create an environment where you can experience your practice as is, to find the warrior within you and to show that with time all our goals can be accomplished.
